Peter Hine - Partner
Educated at Lancaster Royal Grammar School and Trinity College Oxford, Peter trained as a commercial lawyer in the City of London before returning to Lancashire. A former North West Business Insider Corporate Lawyer of the Year, Peter has been a Partner with Marsden Rawsthorn since 1986 and Head of Corporate since 1991and specialises in company and commercial law, particularly mergers, acquisitions and disposals of companies and businesses.
Outside the office Peter is a family man whose interests include sport, sailing and current affairs.

Charles MacDonald - Partner
Charles studied law at the University of Liverpool and qualified in 1978. Charles has been a partner with Marsden Rawsthorn since 1990 and his areas of practice are residential sales and purchases, acquistion and sale of businesses, commercial premises including leases, sites and subsequent plots sales, applications for adverse possession and granting and releasing of rights of way and easements.

Mark Alexander - Associate Solicitor
Mark studied law at Chester and joined Marsden Rawsthorn in 2006, being promoted to the position of associate in 2008. Mark specialises in commercial property matters including the acquisition and disposal of land and property, landlord and tenant matters (including the grant, surrender, variation and renewal of leases) and also acts for high street banks in high value property transactions. He also practices company and commercial law particularly in dealing with the acquisition and disposal of businesses by either its shares or assets.
Marks outside interests include live music, playing the guitar, kit cars and he is an avid Everton Football Club supporter.

Suzanne Gallagher - Solicitor
Suzanne qualified in 2004 and has been with Marsden Rawsthorn for over 5 years. Advising upon all aspects of commercial property work including the purchase and sale of commercial property, commercial leases acting on behalf of landlords and tenants - grant, renewal and assignment, sale and purchase of small businesses, grant of easements and service agreements and charges. She has strong links with the local area being born in Blackburn and having lived in Chorley, Leyland and Preston.
Suzanne's main interest outside of work is exercise (and lots of it!). She plays netball for a local team in Leyland and works out at boxing circuits. In a bid to beat her Great North Run time and in preparation for the Blackpool half marathon, she has joined an endurance training group which involves running in temperatures of minus 3!

Briony Haley - Solicitor
Briony studied at Lancaster University and Chester College of Law and joined Marsden Rawsthorn in 2006, qualifying with the firm in 2008. She works within the commercial team assisting with acquisitions and disposals, small business sales and purchases, commercial property and landlord and tenant matters.
Briony enjoys travel, skiing and is an avid reader of all subjects.

Sharon Harrison - Solicitor
Sharon studied law at Lancaster University and joined Marsden Rawsthorn in 2005. Specialising in company and commercial law, including acquistions and disposals and director/shareholder disputes, and employment law, particularly unfair dismissal, discrimination and TUPE procedures. Sharon has also lectured on employment law at UCLAN.
Outside of work Sharon has a keen interest in fashion, enjoys going to the cinema and fine food.

Sabita Passi - Solicitor
Sabita studied law at UCLAN and joined Marsden Rawsthorn in 2007. Sabita works in the company and commercial department with a strong focus on commercial property.
Outside interests include netball, going to the gym and socialising with friends.
