Meet Karl Wilson, head of the Dispute Resolution team and based at our Fulwood office. We put him in the Dock this month to answer our questions.
1. What's the best part about your job?
The relationship with the client and in maintaining or restoring their confidence in lawyers and the legal system. 2. If you didn't work in the legal profession, what would you be?
Possibly an architect if RIBA would have me and if not, an above average musician. Dream rather than reality. 3. Tell us one interesting fact about yourself?
I’ve eaten out and had Indian food with Al Pacino. I had Goan fish curry and Al was pretty poor at sharing papadums. 4. What does your ideal Sunday look like?
Up early enough for Match of The Day and having time to return to bed for a snooze. Later listening to Cerys Matthews on Radio 6 and then going out with partner Julie and daughter Sophie, for a long, brisk walk on a sunny, spring afternoon. Getting back home or to the local pub in time for late Sunday lunch with really good gravy. Easy on the broccoli. Simples.
5. If you won the lottery what would you buy first?
Ignoring gifts for others and if allowed to be totally self indulgent – a Fender Classic Series, 1969 Telecaster Thinline electric guitar, in Lake Placid Blue with ash body, maple neck, buzzing humbuck pick-ups and a bullet truss rod. Or something similar.
