We are one - Marsden Rawsthorn first anniversary celebrations

How time flies - the 18th June saw another landmark for the firm - one year to the day since our launch party to celebrate the merger of Marsdens and Rawsthorns, and our move to our new purpose built premises at Faraday Court in Fulwood.

The evening was well attended and the focal point of the evening was an art exhibition by the first year fine art students from UCLAN.  This was a great opportunity for the students to gain experience of exhibiting in a commercial environment, and a large number of the pieces were indeed sold on the night.  Click here if you want to see the art catalogue and the individual pieces - contact details for all the artists are included if you are interested in any of their work.  John Joughin from UCLAN gave a presentation and commented that "we have a wealth of talent within Lancashire both in the creative and business world and that it is important to keep that talent and promote it." which we were delighted to have been able to do.

Our charity partner Barnardo's also attended, and Tom Warman, Director of Commercial Partnerships gave a very interesting and thought provoking overview of the situations that surround the children in the two local groups that we support.  Include Me 2, in Lostock Hall that supports severely handicapped children and Lancashire Young Homeless Project that works with homeless children from the age of 16 to 25.

Catering was provided by our client Hall's Bakery, who are renowned throughout the area for their pies, many thanks for a truly delicious Lancashire spread.
