The prime role of the Conveyancing Admin Assistant is to provide direct support to those in the department to enable it to operate at optimum efficiency. This will include but not be limited to the following:-
- To prepare correspondence and documents in the case management system, including Land Registry Applications.
- To administer filing, which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files.
- To prepare mail and enclosures for dispatch.
- To arrange for all copying to be done when requested.
- To attend to clients both in person and on the telephone and to provide such support in a professional and friendly manner.
- To carry out such other tasks as are commensurate with the role.
- To undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall to have a responsibility towards self-development.
Ideally, the candidate will have already worked in a solicitor’s office before and be used to working with a case management system, but training in the systems that we use will be given.
It is essential that the successful candidate can work both as part of a team and independently and can work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. It is also essential that the candidate is organised and has excellent communication skills.
