Commercial Litigation Solicitor (Fulwood Office)

We are looking for a permanent Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join our busy and successful Dispute Resolution Team. The candidate should be self motivated, ambitious, dynamic and have a “can do” attitude. They will thrive on working as a member of our Dispute Resolution team.

The candidate will be newly qualified or more. The role will involve dealing with some general civil litigation matters, with an emphasis on land and property disputes. All necessary training and support will be provided. 

The Candidate will also have an enthusiasm for marketing themselves, the team and the firm and in establishing relationships with clients and potential work referrers. They will also be keen to develop a close working relationship with our residential and commercial property lawyers, to resolve disputes which their clients might have.

Experienced Wills, Trusts & Probate Solicitor (Chorley Office)

 

We are looking to add an experienced Solicitor to our existing team based at our Buckshaw Village office.

Ideally we require a qualified solicitor with a minimum 5 years PQE and with a proven background in dealing with a full range of Wills, Probate, Trusts (creation and administration), LPAs and some COP matters.  In addition the candidate should have experience of supervising junior fee earners, and possess excellent organisational and IT skills. A STEP qualification would be preferred but it is not essential.

The candidate will be required to :

  • Manage a busy caseload across a full range of Private Client Law
  • Ensure efficient file management including adherence to timescales; compliance with precedents, letters or documents on the case management system
  • Be responsible for all financial aspects of matters including time recording, and billing
  • To relate to clients at all levels and demonstrate excellent levels of client care
  • Good team player with collegial and collaborative approach
  • Supervise junior team members and report back to Head of Department
  • Able to forge and develop business relationships with an enthusiasm for networking and business development
  • Commercial acumen and appreciation of financial fundamentals
  • Genuine desire to be involved in the future growth plans for the firm

We are looking to recruit a full time Legal Secretary to join the busy Family Law Team at our Fulwood office.

The family team is trained to guide clients through every situation affecting the family from separation, divorce and mediation to childcare, contact, domestic violence and civil partnership.

The candidate we are looking for will be required to support the team of lawyers and assist in all aspects of client care.  Preferably the candidate should have a family law background and be proficient and accurate in audio and copy typing, preparation of court bundles and diary management in order to assist the team efficiently.

Litigation Department Secretary/Assistant (Fulwood Office)

 

Experienced Legal Secretary/Assistant required to provide full secretarial and administration support in our Preston Dispute Resolution (Litigation) Team.

To prepare correspondence and type by audio typing method, using word processing with our digital dictation software (Bighand) and our case management system (SOS Connect).   The applicant must possess good typing skills with a high degree of accuracy. 

To also undertake as might be required, basic legal work where necessary to support our litigation lawyers, including drafting simple documents, schedules and letters, preparing court bundles and doing legal research.

The candidate must be highly professional, self motivated, a good team member and able to use their own initiative to undertake the following tasks under appropriate supervision:

    • Managing telephone calls and taking telephone messages;

    • File and diary management;

    • Liaising with clients and other professionals such as other solicitors, experts and barristers’ chambers;

    • Doing costs and disbursement reviews;

    • Dealing with compliance tasks such as ID checks etc.
