Senior Conveyancer or Residential Property Solicitor or Commercial Property Solicitor

Litigation Department Secretary/Assistant (Chorley Office)


Experienced Legal Secretary/Assistant required to provide full secretarial and administration support and legal assistance in the Dispute Resolution Team supporting a Solicitor/Director.


To prepare correspondence and typing using audio typing method and word processing using digital dictation software Bighand and our case management system, SOS Connect.    Must possess good typing skills with high degree of accuracy. 


To also undertake basic legal work where necessary to support fee earners including drafting simple documents, schedules and letters, preparing court bundles and basic legal research.


The candidate must be self motivated and able to use their own initiative to undertake the following tasks for fee earners under supervision:


  • Managing telephone calls and taking telephone messages;

  • File and diary management;

  • Liaising with clients and other professionals such as solicitors, experts and Counsel’s chambers;

  • Costs and disbursement reviews;

  • Compliance tasks such as ID checks etc.

Family Law Solicitor with either Children or Family Panel Membership 10+ year PQE,  able to effectively manage and supervise a team of solicitors.  Required by our high profile Lancashire based law firm undertaking a range of privately funded and Legal Aid family work Non Molestation, Childrens Act proceedings, financial remedy, domestic violence and children cases.
