A leading firm of Preston solicitors turned out in force this weekend to support Cancer Research UK, by taking part in a 5K fundraising run at Ribby Hall Village. 14 solicitors, staff and family members from Preston Solicitors Marsden Rawsthorn demonstrated their commitment to the cause by donning training shoes and bowler hats to run the 5K race and raise funds for the campaign.
The race was organised by former Kirkham Grammar School pupil Rachel Maher in memory of her grandparents, who both died of cancer. She was delighted at the turnout which saw over 250 runners brave freezing temperatures to raise funds. "I'd like to thank all our sponsors, stewards and everyone who took part for their help in raising funds for such a worthwhile cause. The turnout was excellent and we're very hopeful we'll beat our target of £2000. The spirit amongst the runners was really warm, which helped combat the arctic conditions!"
