Our Team continues to grow with the recruitment of eight new starters as part of our continuing expansion, with two new members joining our recently opened office in Buckshaw Village.
Charles Hine, 31, from Preston, is a former production assistant with the BBC who has just begun his two-year training contract at the company's Preston office.
He already has two degrees, both from UCLAN, one in music and a second in advertising, and has just completed his legal practice course (LPC) and graduate diploma in law. Now he is keen to experience all aspects of law before deciding which area he will specialise in.
He said: "My ambition at the moment is to successfully complete my training, but I enjoyed the commercial law during my studies so that might be an area to consider in the future."
Also new to the Preston office is Rebecca Scudamore, 27, from Hoghton, who has joined the company as a paralegal after nine years with another legal firm.
Rebecca started her career as a junior secretary and has gradually worked her way up the ranks, first to legal secretary and more recently to her latest role.
She has completed her Institute of Legal Executive (ILEX) exams up to level 3 and is hoping to return to study once she is settled in her new job.
She said: "I've always been keen to progress in whatever I do so I'd like to complete the next level of ILEX exams to become a legal executive."
We have also bolstered our administrative support at Preston with four secretarial appointments - Catherine Ollerton in commercial property, Amanda Winder in the private client department and Deborah Montgomery and Susan Thompson in family law.
In addition, we have also added to the team at the recently opened office in Buckshaw Village, appointing Katie Gordon as a receptionist and Natalie Watson as a secretary.
