Marsden Rawsthorn receives National Property Accreditation
Monday 2nd September 2013
Marsden Rawsthorn is the latest to be enrolled onto a national property scheme that sets quality standards for residential conveyancers and helps to deter fraud.
We are pleased to announce our firm has become the latest firm to be accepted onto the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS). This is a recognised quality mark for legal experts involved in the buying or selling of property, trusted by some of the UK's biggest lenders such as HSBC, Santander, Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank.
Membership of CQS signifies that Marsden Rawsthorn meets recognised quality standards for residential conveyancing practices, reassuring consumers of their integrity and adherence to industry-wide best practices. This includes being clear about the steps involved when buying or selling property, being up front about the service they will provide and being transparent about costs.
The scheme requires practices to undergo a strict assessment, compulsory training, self-reporting, random audits and annual reviews in order to maintain CQS status. It is only open to members of the Law Society who meet the standards set by the scheme and has the support of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the Building Societies Association, Legal Ombudsman and the Association of British Insurers.
Richard Ainsworth, director and head of residential conveyancing at Marsden Rawsthorn, said: "This CQS accreditation is the benchmark for residential conveyancing teams up and down the country, and is testament to the dedication and expertise of the team here at Marsden Rawsthorn that we have been accredited."
"Our clients, including those that have worked with and trusted us for many years already, will be further reassured that the service we provide meets stringent standards this is a positive development in the continued fight against fraud."
Law Society President, Lucy Scott-Moncrieff, said that they have introduced CQS to promote high standards in the home buying process.
"CQS has established itself as the quality mark of the home-buying sector and enables consumers to identify practices that provide a quality residential conveyancing service. With so many different conveyancing service providers out there CQS helps home-buyers and sellers seek out those that can provide a safe and efficient level of service."
