Debbie Pettitt, chief executive at Marsden Rawsthorn Solicitors, has recently been awarded 'Woman of the Year' at the prestigious Lancashire Business Awards.
Debbie scooped the top honour in recognition for her invaluable contribution at Marsden Rawsthorn and to Lancashire's legal sector.
Renowned for her commercial awareness and strategic business solutions, Debbie was nominated by members of the business community before being shortlisted and later selected as the overall category winner by a panel of judges.
"Picking up an award like this is such an honour, especially when I am surrounded and inspired by so many fantastic business women."
"We have had a fantastic year and this is the icing on the cake. I share the award with the entire team at Marsden Rawsthorn, who are responsible for the success we have enjoyed. I would also like to thank our business partners and clients for their ongoing support."
In December 2012, Debbie was appointed as chief executive after working for the company as director of business development and marketing for four years prior. Debbie is the first non-solicitor to be appointed in this role in the firm's history and continues to lead change within the industry.
The Lancashire Business Awards, organised by leading networking group, Downtown in Business, were held at Stanley House in Mellor on Thursday 7th November 2013.
