More About Our New Starters
Lorna became a solicitor in 1988 and was a partner in a Liverpool city centre firm where she specialised in divorce and family matters. Following a 7 year career break she retrained in the private client department of a Fylde based firm of solicitors, where she worked for 10 years, specialising in all aspects of elderly client law, which she has a particular interest in. Lorna is a full accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly and a Dementia Friend.
Kay is a solicitor specialising in commercial and corporate law. Kay advises and assists a wide range of corporate clients from business start ups, SMEs, charities to large corporate organisations. Her particular expertise is in in mergers and acquisitions, MBOs, joint ventures and retirement sales. She also has considerable experience in drafting shareholder and partnership agreements and various commercial contracts including terms and conditions of trade and licensing arrangements.
Shajeda deals with both Private Law Children Act proceedings and Public Law Children Act Proceedings. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2005 and became an accredited member of the Law Society’s Children panel In February 2012. In Public Law Proceedings Shajeda regularly gets instructed by parents, grandparents, extended family members and children’s guardians to represent the interest of the children in care proceedings initiated by the Local Authority.
Kirsty started Marsden Rawsthorn within the Commercial Department in May 2017 after previously working in solicitors in Manchester for 17 years. She qualified as a legal executive in 2009 and she specialises in all residential conveyancing including investors requiring a quick turn around.
Katie is a Paralegal specialising in Property law. Katie advises and assists in all aspects of residential conveyancing including re-mortgages, purchases and sales. Since starting her career in law back in 2007 Katie have continuously worked within Conveyancing working her way up through the ranks to her current position of Paralegal.
