After seeing renewed vigour in the commercial property sector, leading law firm Marsden Rawsthorn has appointed Wendy Beer, from Worsley, Manchester, as the latest addition to its commercial property team.
A year on from the introduction of the Jackson Reforms, launched as a way to curb claims made through “no-win no-fee” cases, Lancashire-based law firm Marsden Rawsthorn has become aware of a sharp rise in the number of claims and defences being struck out for failure to comply strictly with timetables set by the courts.
This month Marsden Rawsthorn will wave goodbye to one of its longest serving solicitors. After 38 years, Margaret Marshall is retiring and will be passing her clients to her son Ashley Marshall, who has just taken over as the new head of department.
