It’s been super busy here at Marsden HQ with the festive season fast approaching.
Once again this year, we’ve been supporting Cash for Kids Lancashire with its Mission Christmas appeal.
For the last month, we have been asking clients and staff to donate unwrapped gifts, that would appeal to children aged 0-18, and bring them to our Fulwood office.
Those gifts are being sent to local families who will have very little or nothing to open on Christmas Day.
We have been overwhelmed with the response and we thank each and every one of you who has taken the time to buy something.
Our firm has also set up a cash collection for toys. Donations can be sent until this Friday (December 22): https://www.cashforkidsgive.co.uk/campaign/mission-christmas-2023-lancashire-fundraising/fundraisers/marsden-rawsthorn-solicitors/
Some of our staff even went down to Mission Christmas to help make sure the gifts got sorted and packed in time for the big day.
Here are some of the gifts we collected:
Trainee solicitors Fahima Adam and Robyn Veevers, both volunteered and said: “We helped unload the toys from those dropping off their donated toys and then sorted them out into categories e.g. 3-5 boys, 3-5 girls 9-12 girls etc.
“The toys were then sorted into different categories from which we made gift bundles for the children in need of presents this Christmas.
“We also helped load the toys to the organisations who came to collect ready distribute them to the children.
“It was a very eventful day and we were pleased to see so many toys going to where they are needed most in Lancashire.”
