Small Claims

Disputes & Debts

Examples of small claims matters

Small claims matters involve any area of dispute and include, but are not limited to:

  • Unpaid invoices
  • Contract disputes
  • The Sale of defective goods or poor services
  • Building disputes
  • Unpaid rent

The thought of commencing or defending court proceedings can be overwhelming for our clients but our dedicated Dispute Resolution team can assist and guide you through the process. We can also assist with negotiations and are well experienced in mediation.

To help you in these types of cases we can advise and assist you with certain aspects of your case, or with the whole process (whichever you prefer) on a fixed fee basis, undertaking specific work for you, at a price agreed with you.

This can include, for example, drafting court papers and witness statements.

You may have been served with a Court Claim Form, (Summons) yourself and are a Defendant in Small Claims Court proceedings and are not sure how to proceed. Once a claim has been issued against you – you must act fast as deadlines are imposed and if you are not careful a County Court Judgment (CCJ) could be registered against you or your business. Our Dispute Resolution team can assist you by providing clear advice and drafting a Defence to the claim if the claim is unjustified.

Contact us now for a free initial consultation regarding your Small Claim. We’ll be delighted to help.
