We love a good fundraiser here at Marsden Rawsthorn.
And this year has been a cracker!
We’ve seen staff dressing up, Jennie Barnes covering 2022km across the country, Zoe Fleming escape jail, a tombola for Derian House and loads of our team members going to help pack up gifts for those less fortunate at Christmas.
Here are just a few of the things we’ve enjoyed this year:
Zoe Fleming’s jail break
Our head of Wills, Trusts and Probate was locked in a secret jail in Burnley, as part of a fundraiser for Age UK Lancashire.
She was stuck in a cell with just her mobile for company – and to help her beg for cash – until she raised enough to be let out!
Zoe raised £715.
Jennie Barnes’ mega challenge
Jennie Barnes completed the toughest of tasks when she completed 2022km in 2022.
She managed to raise £2,499 for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation, which has supported her family.
Macmillan coffee morning
Our brilliant brownies and super scones helped us raise £340 for Macmillan Cancer Support – a great effort all round by makers and buyers!
Walk the Lights
Wind and driving rain didn’t put our walkers off a five-mile battle from Bispham tram stop to Starr Gate to raise money for the Rosemere Cancer Centre at the Royal Preston Hospital.
They made £500 towards the appeal for new radiotherapy equipment.
Cash for Kids toy collection
Our teams set up collection points to help support Cash for Kids’ Christmas appeal which saw thousands of presents collected and sent to children under 18 ready for Christmas Day.
Our staff had a brilliant time helping get the presents ready for delivery!
Seasonal sweaters
Our Wills, Trusts and Probate Team raised £410 including sales from a raffle and a Christmas jumper competition, for St Catherine’s Hospice.
Bev Flores was hailed best dressed, winning herself a bottle of gin for her efforts.
